Kiveo 1.2.6 for iOS

Home screen quick actions, a tappable Books Read card, deeper sync diagnostics, and a round of cover-swap fixes.

Added

  • Home screen quick actions. Long-press the app icon for Start Session, Scan Barcode, and Capture Quote, each deep-linking straight to the right place.
  • Tappable Books Read card. The Home summary stat now opens a list of the books behind the number, scoped to the year you’ve picked.
  • Deeper export diagnostics. The opt-in Sync Diagnostics now captures far more about a failed iCloud export, so the long-standing “export always fails” bug can finally be pinned down.
  • System log capture. A new action on the Sync Diagnostics screen for readers helping us troubleshoot.

Changed

  • Custom covers, capped at the source. Saving a custom cover now downscales it to about 1024px on the long side, keeping libraries light.
  • One path for status changes. Every book-status change flows through a single writer, so statuses and their dates stay consistent wherever the change comes from.
  • A friendlier reflection prompt. The reflection fields now share one question: “What’s on your mind?”
  • The original cover, marked. The cover-swap grid now labels a book’s own edition “Original”, so the way back is always visible.

Fixed

  • Custom-cover images left behind by catalog refreshes are now cleaned up instead of kept forever.
  • The cover-swap screen no longer marks a catalog edition as current while a custom cover is in use.
  • Restoring a backup keeps manually created books custom instead of demoting them to catalog books.
  • On iOS 26, dismissing a sheet no longer tints every tab bar item in the accent colour.
  • Slow searches can’t leak stale results into the screen after you’ve cleared the query.
  • Single-book columns in “From Our Garden” align to the top instead of floating mid-column.
  • The “Automatic” search language now resolves to your language instead of all of them.
  • “Reset to Original” actually clears a custom cover now, image and all.
