- An intention on the way in. Setting up Kiveo now offers three one-tap intentions, and “Not now” is always there and saves nothing.
Changed
- “What counts”, book by book. A reading-habit intention now groups the sittings behind it under each book, with that book’s own minutes and pages, and daily reading finally lists the days its number is made of.
- Daily reading starts from the day you set it. A daily-reading intention now counts forward from that day, so one you already have may show a smaller number, while your days in a row on Home are untouched.
- Status colours of Kiveo’s own. Cover badges and status lines now use terracotta, forest green, gold, slate and warm stone, each easy to read on a dark screen as well as a light one.
- A visible road ahead. The unread part of a progress bar is now a faded green instead of white, readable by day and by night.
- Along the Way, as a path. Recent sessions in a book’s Journey now carry a small sun or moon for when you read, threaded by a faint line, and the tab’s headings match the rest of the app.
- Quieter quote cards. Inside a book, quotes no longer repeat its cover, title and author, and every card now reaches the same edge on warm paper.
- Keepsakes that open. Quotes and reflections on a book’s Keepsakes tab now open when tapped, and a quote inside a reflection is simply indented, the way a passage is.
Fixed
- Sorting sessions by length, pages or books now actually reorders them, and sessions logged without a date appear whenever you sort by something other than date.
- Sorting sessions oldest first now puts the oldest at the top.
- The Sessions search box now says “Search by book”, which is what it does.
- Search now finds a book whether or not you type its accents, so “marquez” finds García Márquez, and a stray space at the end no longer empties the results.
- The Journal now finds quotes by the name you’ve given a book, and by author once the book itself is gone.
- Kiveo no longer closes when a book, quote or session you have open is removed, including from another device over iCloud.
- On iPad, the Nightstand and Intentions cards now sit side by side on Home instead of each stretching across the screen.
- A session from late the evening before now reads “Last night” in a book’s Journey, not “Yesterday night”.
- Opening Kiveo for the first time from a link or Home Screen shortcut now lets you finish setting up, then takes you where you tapped.
